As Sompo Insurance Inc. ("Sompo" or the "Company"), we would like to inform and enlighten you about the personal data processing activities we carry out in the capacity of data controller, pursuant to Article 10 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 ("KVKK-Personal Data Protection Law").
1- Data Controller and Representative
Your personal data may be processed, recorded, stored, classified, updated by Sompo as the data controller, in accordance with the law and good faith, in line with and limited to the purposes described below, and may be disclosed and transferred to third parties in cases permitted by the legislation and/or limited to the purpose for which they are processed.
2- Purpose of Processing Your Personal Data
Your personal data, in accordance with the basic principles stipulated in the KVKK(Personal Data Protection Data); (i) To carry out the operational activities of our company, our business relations and human resources processes, (ii) living up to the demands of the relevant persons, (iii) offering the products and services in the most appropriate way to you, the continuation of the marketing and technical processes, (iv) It is processed within the scope of carrying out our work to ensure the commercial security of the company, and it is securely stored in physical or electronic environment for an appropriate period of time for processing. Sompo acts in accordance with the obligations stipulated in all relevant legislation, especially the KVKK(Personal data protection law).
3- Transfer of Your Personal Data
Your personal data processed by Sompo in accordance with the law; It can be transferred to our business partners, shareholders, authorized public institutions and organizations, private individuals, companies that receive support services in order to carry out our activities, and independent audit companies within the framework of legal obligations and legal restrictions.
4- Data Transfer Abroad
Your personal data processed by Sompo in accordance with the law must be determined to have sufficient protection by the Personal Data Protection Board (“Board”), in line with your explicit consent or without your explicit consent in case of the existence of the situations stipulated in the provisions of KVKK article 5/2 and KVKK article 6/3 and to persons and/or organizations residing in the declared foreign countries, or to countries other than those determined and announced by the Board, provided that the data controllers in the country to which personal data are transferred undertake an adequate protection in writing and the Board's permission can be obtained.
5- Collection Method and Legal Reason of Your Personal Data
Your personal data, in order to carry out our activities, by Sompo through different channels and based on the above-mentioned legal reasons; It is collected in order to improve the services we offer and to carry out our commercial activities. In this context, your personal data can be processed and transferred without obtaining explicit consent in the light of the principles stipulated in Article 4/2 of the KVKK, or in the presence of the conditions stipulated in the provisions of Article 5/2 of the KVKK and Article 6/3 of the KVKK.
6- Rights You Have Pursuant to Article 11 of KVKK
In order to be able to quickly, effectively and comprehensively evaluate and resolve the applications to be made by you by Sompo pursuant to Article 11 of the KVKK, the Data Owner Application Form available on our website must be sent to our Head Office address, which is stated on our Contact page, with a wet signature and a copy of the ID attached, by registered mail with return receipt. According to its nature, Sompo will conclude your request free of charge as soon as possible and in any case within thirty (30) days at the latest. However, if the procedures to be carried out for the examination and conclusion of your application require an additional cost, the fees in the tariff determined by the Board will be invoiced to you.
The rights you have pursuant to the above-mentioned article are as follows:
- Learning whether your personal data is processed by Sompo,
- If your personal data has been processed, requesting information about it,
- To learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether they are used in accordance with the purpose,
- Knowing the third parties to whom personal data is transferred at home or abroad,
- Requesting correction of personal data in case of incomplete or incorrect processing,
- Requesting the deletion or destruction of personal data within the framework of the conditions stipulated in Article 7 of the KVKK,
- Requesting notification of the transactions made pursuant to clauses 11 (d) and (e) of the KVKK to the third parties to whom personal data has been transferred,
- Objecting to a result against you by analyzing your personal data exclusively through automated systems,
- If you suffer any damage due to the processing of your personal data in violation of the relevant legislation, requesting the compensation of the damage.
